That interview with the Namco dude says "We haven't done hundreds of thousands" so I take that to mean they've done >100K but <200K. I assume that's shipped to retailers. sold to gamers is probably hovering around the 100K mark. I hope VGC eventually gets it up to 100K in EMEAA. Thing is we know it got an Asia release at the time is came out in Japan. But no sales were ever attributed to Asia. So does that mean VGC put the Asia sales into the Japan numbers?

The Asian numbers must be fairly nice, considering Demon's Souls may very well have been the most imported game of all time. The Asian version alone is actually the most sold ps3 game over at NCSX.com, an import shop based in NY.

All the updates in the description section tell how many times they ran out of stock.
First they said they'd be able to fill all orders when the third batch of games arrived:
"Although we won't we able to ship all pending preorders this week, NCS expects to be able to fill all remaining orders by next week when the third batch of the game arrives from Hong Kong."
Then they thought they'd have a ready supply of games to sell as of the fifth batch:
"With this new shipment, NCS expects to keep the game in stock for same-day shipping if ordered before 5PM EST over the next few weeks."
Only a day after they recieved that shipment (March 30th to March 31st - keep in mind the game only released on February 23rd), they were sold out yet again:
"Please note that NCS is sold out of Demon's Souls (Asian Version) as of the time stamp listed above. We thought the inventory that we received today would last at least 2-3 weeks but sales to vendors and customers alike were strong today."
This continued all the way up until August, at which point they started shipping out the newly released Korean version of the game in an attempt to cover all the orders they'd recieved for the Asian version.
In late August, just before the game's North American release, they posted this:
"Demon's Souls has surpassed Metal Gear Solid 4 as our top selling PS3 game ever since the console was released a few years ago. We'll probably sell a few copies of the domestic version as well so cumulatively, Demon's Souls will probably stand in position as our top PS3 seller for the foreseeable future."
An imported game beat out the combined imported and domestic release of the ps3's biggest exclusive up until that point in time!
They arrived yesterday in the mail.
