Just think of the possibilities if they teamed up with Valve using Steam as their Cloud based operation center......... fuck..... would be incredible.

That's not what the term means. You're confusing it with digital distribution. The term refers to all the computing done by another computer and your console just sends the request and recieves the result.

dood, do you know what Steam Cloud or their match making do? ^^;;; not to mention they can use their VoIP code. I'm saying nothing about DD, it's the other parts of Steam, Nintendo is using GameSpy atm for Wii and it's honestly, outdated as hell.

PS: BTW, Iwata isn't exactly a computing guy, most upper management don't know much about this shit let along their shareholders, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_computing the true value of Cloud Computing is the data structure, and how fast the servers can handle those data and hand them to your machine to decypher, which is pretty nice and efficient nowadays, but it would still run shittier on a slower machine, and that's how it has been for almost 20 years, people just didn't use this term commonly until recently.

I would love to see a Q&A from the other two companies like this.

Mike from Morgantown

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I'd go to the Nintendo theme park if they had a DKC mine cart ride.

You don't know Iwata's background well. Iwata was a developer. He isn't just  some management suit.

He's been out of it for many years and concentrating more on his real job(which is a good thing, he's doing a good ass job imo,) in IT, that knowledge gets outdated fast, and he has no background in networking.

Steam is a online platform no?

He made it clear that Nintendo software exists only on Nintendo platforms or at least are developed for. He also said he would be going with a ISP... is valve a ISP? I mean can you connect to Steam without having any established ISP?

Nice talk learned a little, I've honestly become  indifferent to poke'mon' and disgusted with the game mechanics as well as the new graphics. I miss my sprites =(.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

Yeah, but dahuman's saying they should use Steam's network infrastructure, not literally use Steam. Much like how WiFi Connection runs mostly off a GameSpy structure, though obviously not on GameSpy

I rather agree with him, though it would be easy to find anyone who could top gamespy

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
