First i would like to start of by saying hello! alot of you will not know me but i have been a user on this site for a long time but left about a year ago due to a few site problems. (i like the new layout btw)

i have come back to just talk to you about something that has happened to me that i never thought would. 

Im a 'hardcore' gamer by its definition or should i say 'was'

In november of 2009 i brought an iPhone 3GS and this changed everything, i found the App store and started downloading tiny games for 59p that would last me for 20 hours before i even got bored and before long i noticed that i hadn't turned my PS3 on in about a month... then 2....then 3. 

I then Brought God of War 3 as i am a huge fan of the series and had been waiting for that game for ages! to this day i have still only played it half way through. 

What can i do to get back into gaming and out of this mobile phone games trend? 

i dont want to buy a new system as i am happy with the PS3 games coming out but what games have i missed in the last 6 months that ae really good? 

if someone has had anything like this happen to them? or knows how to get out of this thrend? 

and off topic, This White PS3 with 320GB in japan.... any news on a UK release? as i need more space and a slim lol

Put down the iPhone and play Uncharted 2, that will remind you why gaming is great

i have tried this. all i wanted to do is have a quick online match but after an hour waiting for all the updates ( and i have a good internet connection ) i gave up. Naughty Dog have released about 100 patches and its taking to long 

Play through the single player campaign then

this site is starting to get on my last: srry mad cause i just lost my post. i'm getting sick of this: any way you'll haft to get board of said games. 

to me there is no "Hardcore"  or "Casual" games, but there is "Crappy" and there is "Good" games, some of the so called "Casual" games are billion times more skill demanding than those deep story driven ..ect whatever"Hardcore" games.

Hmmm. I find as I get older, my gaming tastes are changing. But not to mobiles. 

Buy a DS/PSP or wait for the 3DS,

you can play you're games on the move like mobiles, but will be free of you're 'guilt'.  They is nothing better to prove how 'hardcore' you are to yourself to none mobile games than catching all 493 pokemon on one of the DS games.

Meh.. I also play more on the iPhone then on my wii or 360... the Appstore has some really good games.. only Starcraft 2 saved me from being totally casual..

I don't wanna be saved... unless it's by a shirtless d21lewis..
