Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's upcoming software schedule

Europe

Nintendo DS

  • Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (07/23/10)
  • Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (09/17/10)
  • Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (Oct 2010)
  • Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Q4 2010)

Awesome DS line-up! Especially the sequel to Hotel Dusk!

Wii

  • Metroid: Other M (09/03/10)
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns (Q4 2010)
  • Disney Epic Mickey (Disney Interactive Studios)
  • Goldeneye 007 (Activision)

Ok(ish) Wii line-up. Although Donkey Kong alone makes it a fantastic end of 2010.

Would have loved to see Xenoblade getting confirmed for Europe, especially after Graces never made it over I would have love a decent JRPG on Wii.

Well there is a fan translation coming that's more than half way done: http://www.talesofgraces.com/

Nice to see Xenoblade on the list though I'm not surprised.

I assume this means importing the Japanese game and then using homebrew?

On a sidenote: Why on earth would anyone maximize their website for use with Chrome and Safari and not Firefox and IE?

Kirby's never been big in Europe. Best to let the hype/awareness build into the new year.

Anyone think 2D Donkey Kong Country is gonna beat Mario Kart like it did when they both debuted on the SNES?

2D Donkey Kong pretty much completes the return of all of Nintendo's biggest sellers for past sytems. Goes to show how stupid Capcom were by putting SF4 on the wrong console(s).

Dude... have you looked at the Mario Kart Wii sales?

If New Super Mario Brothers Wii hasn't taken it over (yet) what makes you think DKCR has ANY chance?

Donkey Kong will beat MK to 10 million, whether it outsells it in the long run is another matter. Mario Kart SNES had a 2 year headstart on DKC, I bet people would have doubted DKC back then too. Mario Kart has 4 player local now so I don't think DK can outsell it lifetime.

well, you should've said THAT. Still unlikely, but certainly possible. I dunno.....
