If Iran was only after nuclear power than they would have no problem accepting the nuclear resources we've offered them.  Ahmadinejad has refused this deal over and over (although has finally given in and will be negotiating.)  The solution that western countries offered gives Iran full power to develop nuclear facilities for energy usage, it just limits their ability to make nuclear weapons because they would not be able to enrich the uranium to a point at which it becomes useful for weaponry.  We also found out that Ahdmadinejad had been hiding nuclear facilities even from UN inspectors, we've found out through intelligence leaks (scientists have defected) that they have been attempting to Obtain UD3, aka uranium deuteride.  UD3 has only one known scientific purpose and that is as a trigger device for a nuclear weapon.

Now why would Iran refuse nuclear fuel that would only work for energy but not weapons, hide nuclear facilities, and obtain nuclear trigger devices?  The answer is simple, but I'll spell it out for you, Iran wants nuclear weapons and the west does not want Iran to have them.

Many westerners don't openly support other dictatorships, they just tolerate them because we can't run the world.  But Iran has been repeatedly crossing the line by calling for Death to America, death to Israel, and Death to the english while simultaneously attempting to develop nuclear weapons after stealing an election and oppressing his people with violent force.  That's why he gets attention.

Liverpool fan! awesome. Ok whatever, but singling out iran is wrong. Trust me i live here and there are faar worse who get the support of the west :S I do sometimes tend to get overemotional because well i live here! Now what happened in iran is far more complicated than what most think. Did they do some wrong? Sure they did and i hate and despise some of the things they did. I do believe iran before ahmadi najad was much more positive, and agree that something went too extreme and outa hand during this time. 

But let's look at Saudi for example, women cant drive although we're in the 21st century, or even go anywhere on their own. 4 million are discriminated against cause they're of a difference sect of islam, yet the West does nothing, or even says anything... that's hypocrisy for me. But it's illegal to even have phones with camera in saudi to show all what is wrong there.. is that the democracy some countries want?

Anyways i probably went too far, and sorry for causing any of this. But armads, there's alot missing from what you said, and crossing a line the US has put is not necessarily a correct line. Atomic bombs should be banned around the world cuz i believe it is the worst technology that has  been invented. But as long as some countries have that technology then we aint goin no where. Anyways im tired, so let's leave it there :)
