Its very cool. I just got the 32GB non 3G version because I wasn't about to take the device outside of the house. Its met my desire to have a basic laptop style device with long battery life, portability and functionality to complement my uber desktop and HTPC. Its about as close to a console as any computer like device I have ever seen. Now that I own one I can understand what the hype is all about. This is a very, very good device and quite frankly it puts my Windows 7 machines to shame for how efficiently it operates and how it meets the needs of the average computer user so much better.

My only gripes are that I would like some extra processing performance and I would like it to be slightly lighter so I can use it one handed. However both will probably be addressed over the next couple of revisions so I have no worries that when I pick up my next iPad in a couple of years these things will have been sorted out. But these are not really major issues and they definately do not prevent me from enjoying the device as it is.

gratz.  i like apple products even if a majority of the people on this site are going to grill you for it.  i'm passing on the ipad myself because i already have an iphone which to me seems mostly interchangable.  dunno, maybe i'm wrong about that but the ipad is expensive and i don't really need one.  plus, we all know that every year it is out a newer better ipad will be released.

i just wish apple would support flash.  an internet device that can't go to gametrailers is just fail to me. 

I passed on the iPhone because I got the iPad! Well I guess theres your interchangeability. Its my first Apple product in my entire life. I don't really miss flash at all that much, to me its just one big annoyance because flash = advertising and slow performance even on my overclocked quad core Phenom II @ 3.8Ghz. Gametrailers will probably start to offer a non flash based video stream in the not too distant future especially considering the number of iPhones and iPads out there which don't support it.

Still not sure why people are paying for that overpriced piece of crap.  Cut the price by 50% and you a decent consumer device.  Put WIN7 on it and remove the godawful DRM and then you have winner.

So you can agree ots worth the cost? I ws thinking to get one, but it is to expensive, it is reallu usefull or worth it?

I'm going to wait for the second iPad which I'm guessing will be out some time in the first half of 2011.. I've used one and I love it, just a little expensive for what it is at the moment I think.

It's one of those things that would be awesome to get for free, or win in a contest. I would never pay Apple's ridiculously inflated price for it. It's great fun to use for about half an hour at a time, but it doesn't really do anything.

I really don't see the appeal in a device which requires you to type on the screen.  I would have a hard time writing a paper on such a device, nevermind playing a game or editing music or anything i can use my desktop for.  If I wanted to go portable I'd go with a powerful laptop, but to each his own.
