That would be good.  Did Resistance 2 have something like this?  I seem to remember they added a patch where two players could play and gain experience, etc. for their respective accounts while playing the coop splitscreen. 

Resistance 2 had exactly that, and had online splitscreen from launch, it's not something new to the PS3 for those who think so.

I'm very happy to see that they're doing four player splitscreen, that's awesome. :D

Thought so.  I must give the coop another go one time.  It was a lot of fun.

If you get the option, get some buddies together, get four PS3s, four big TVs and eight controllers and go nuts on Resistance 2. It is so much fun! :D

Move wouldn't affect that one way or the other - it's just a different input device.  I suppose 3D might but again it shouldn't really - 3D games will also do 2D and in 2D if they want splitsreen then the only impact is it may not be available in 3D.

Will KZ3 even have splitscreen?  The KZ2 didn't and GG said this was down to high levels of streaming and the design of the engine.  KZ3 sounds like with no-loading screens it has even more streaming and the engine is presumerably similar.  Did GG say they were going to have splitscreen this time?

I remember reading that Kinect requires processing power from the 360. I thought MOVE might use some from the PS3 also. I don't know though. I didn't think about that for some reason. I'm stupid at times.

No, they never said it would have splitscreen. I don't know why I phrased my statement like that. However, I'm pretty sure they've thought about splitscreen since they know the fans want it.

It depends on how important splitscreen is to the person. 

It depends on the game as well, game like this do not need Move controls....just like a racing game don't need to make you stand with an imaginary wheel

This is awesome news! I have a lot of fun playing Resistance 2 Splitscreen online with my friend, only wish it could go up to 4 players splitscreen.

 

How many players for splitscreen on TM? I've always loved the series and this feat could make it even better.
