I just that it they put both on the same platforms they might cannibalise their sales, so I half expected Tekken vs SF to  be on either Wii/PSP/DS/3DS

im really hyped about this game, I want both!

But one of the main problems I see is them getting the roster right. Tekken has some 40 characters now, and Street Fighter has 30 (just counting those from the current IV series).

In Tekken players usually specialise in certain characters, aeach one of those 40 has someone fan out there who specialises in that character and has mastered them. I imagine its the same for Street Fighter.

My main is King from Tekken, and if he didnt make the cut my enthusiam for this game would drop dramatically. I cant even say if I would still buy it for sure.

Their are lots of people out their I imagine who feel the same about 'their' character. But there is no way its going to have 70 odd playable characters. So some are gonna feel aggrieved their main didnt make it in.

With say a roster of 24 characters is available, 12 from each franchise. Choose your 12 for each, and who they might be rival too.

Street Fighter / Tekken

Ryu - Kazuya Mishima
Ken - Jin Kazama
Chun Li - Jun/Asuka Kazama
Blanka - King
Guile - Paul Pheonix
Bison - Heihachi
Vega - Yoshimitsu
Fei Long - Marshall Law
Cammy - Nina Williams
Sagat - Lei Wulong
Sakura - Ling Xiayou
Zangief - Kuma (though I dont really want Kuma in, ideal rival for Zangief the Russian Bear Wrestler!)

If they go beyond 12 each to say 15, the other 3/6 would be.

Balrog - Steve Fox
Gen - Wang Jinrei
Akuma - Devil Jin/Kazuya

Its gonna be hard to fit in all the characters people will want, and everyone has their own preferred character, so just a hand full left out could mean certain fans unhappy.

For me, I will be happy so long as King is in (thought about making him Zangief's rival, both being wrestlers, but Kuma fit better and couldnt think of a rival for Blanka, but King being somewhat animalistic himself, he seemed the closest fit)

Sagat - Lei Wulong is the only one I didnt think made a good match up. Probably Bryan or Bruce would have made more sense, but I cant imagine Lei not making the cut and I couldnt think of anyone who he would make a good match up against.

Wow! hyped! I have been wishing for this on the other thread lol! My wish has been granted. I'll be buying both. I just hope that  you can buy both for a cheaper price. You know, like a bundle or something.

I kinda hope they can sneak in Morrigan and Ivy.

Not happening. It's not Namco vs. Capcom. Honestly I'd rather have had a Namco vs. Capcom than a Street Fighter vs. Tekken. Pac-man vs. Megaman would have been epic.

pacman?...probably the lamest fighter to pick up a pellet?
