Forums - General - After Inception is any other movie this summer worth looking forward to?

Toy Story 3 and Inception were my two most hyped movies going into the summer and they didn't disappoint me. I admit I don't like them as much as critics and audiences do though. So is there anything left in this disappointing summer worth seeing?

At this point last year the best had yet to come (District 9 and Inglourious Basterds) . This summer movies have been extremely lacking compared to the previous 2 years of awesome (2007 sucked).

Scott Pilgrim vs. The Worlds, The Expendables, and Tales from Earthsea are the only things that look interesting.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will most likely be even better than Inception, especially for gamers like us.

It looks amazing.

Tales From Earthsea is only releasing this summer in US?

Color me surprised. Not a good movie btw, by far the weakest of all Studio Ghibli movies in my opinion.

I'm only looking forward to Salt, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Charlie St. Cloud and Nanny Mcphee Returns. I agree that this summer is weak compared to the last 2 years

at this point, no; I doubt anything is going to top its rich plot and characters. Sure, Scott Pilgrim has potential due to being directed by Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz man Edgar Wright, but that's a totally different movie and even then it's not in the same league as Nolan's Inception. Everything else is flat, such as Stallone's 80s masturbatory pet project.

The Expendables looks to be one helluva action flick.

Scott Pilgrim V.S. The World also looks pretty sick.

Also I'm really looking forward to seeing The Other Guys, I love Will Ferrell lol

Salt and the Expendables look interesting, as does Scott Pilgrim.

I can't think of any.  Inception was definitely the highlight for me.

I dont see why one can't enjoy a movie even if its not as good as inception. I saw Predatros last week, right after Inception... I had a good time with PRedatros. Im looking forward to Expendables next.

It's not coming out til November, but I just saw the trailer for this movie, and it is now my most anticipated!
