Overall I agree. For me the best gaming experiences are co-op, so I always play Halo, Gears and L4D when I invite a friend or go to a friend's house. Was pretty disappointed that Resistance 2 didn't have a true offline co-op like the first one. I even bought Haze, because I thought I don't own enough co-op games on the PS3. Killzone 3 with offline story co-op would be an instant buy. But I could imagine it would be too much for the PS3 to render the Killzone engine twice... |
But they're already forced to do that for 3D.
I can't stand 3D, but I love what it's doing for my favorite games. xD
Offline fun = best thing in gaming
- Wasteland - The Mission.
i agree with you when freinds come over we only play fifa or cod, nothing else has offline co-op
Being in 3rd place never felt so good

I'd gladly take a graphics hit for split screen gameplay.
Games like Halo, Left 4 Dead, and Gears of War are staples simply because of split screen. I think games like Army of Two and Kane & Lynch saw respectable sales because of split screen as well.

Its the worst part of the PS3. Whats the point in having a console designed to go with your biggest and best and most used TV in your house without making many games with offline multiplayer?
*Hugs Wii*

I'd hug my Wii too if it actually offered quality multiplayer games.
The 360 is my console of choice for multiplayer. Kinect should fill the gap for those who actually care about party games.

TWISTED "FUCKING" METAL! x)
Oh and LBP is probably the best and most funniest 4 player game ive played. Its so fucking hilarious lol.
(And i have Gears 2 & Halo 3)

Don't have a 360... but I have of course played (lemme think) Halo 3, Gears of War, Forza, Castle Crashers mainly on the 360 my friend owns.
You've hit on, for me, the worst part of the ps3. I have a ps3 which I have to share with my bro but it's nowhere near as good as the 360 for co op experiences. The ps3 needs some offline co-op campaigns and allow both players to sign in and have trophies!!! I was shocked when I was playing gears of war round a friend's house that I got a trophy as player 2!!!! Sony really need to sort something out
