I think the day will just come and pass and then people will realize the truth. The Mayans were just to lazy to make the calendar go beyond then because to them over 2,000 years seemed like a long ways away so whats the point.

I've always thought Mario Galaxy didn't quite undertand what a galaxy was. All those different areas that Mario traveled to are really more lilke solar systems.

Yeah, it may have not been understood properly in translation or just did it because they thought it sounded cooler.

No its a galaxy. If you notice there is no sun/star. The planets are oversized and pulled from solar systems in each galaxy.

Lazy people don't create 17 accurate calendars. Their calendar ends on the very day that we are at the equator or the Milky Way. Maybe you feel the Mayans just got lucky. The transition will at the very least be significant for some. Kind of like a New Years resolution. Some people experience a change in their life, others will find more of the same.

Firstly, the Mayan calendar does not 'end' in 2012. It just begins a new long count. Mayans added the long count because their previous calendar was reset in too short of an interval. They instead devised an addition to it to encompass all of their history. However, as all of their calendars are circular, it too will simply reset on or about December 12, 2012.

To Mayan's we are in the 4th time this long count has reset to zero. Each time it resets that year is full of calamity. However, the year of calamities happens every so often, this is compound during a reset of the long count. So the idea isn't that the world will end, but that something globally bad will happen.

Furthermore, there are plenty of Mayan writings and predictions that go way past 2012.

To read more go to:

Also the Mayans never claimed the end of the world but then again, they couldn't know either way. Maybe being at the Galactic equater will trigger off a human ascension. However it doesn't change the fact that all lot of changes are occuring in 2012. Coincidence? Maybe. If you listen to the Universe maybe it has a story to tell. From what it sounds like, the Mayans believed we would enter a dark period before we are rejuvinated.

Or maybe, just maybe, if you like...listen or something man...maybe man...just...what was I talking about? *cough cough* *clears smoke*

Currently playing: Civ 6

I think than the mayans were a mathematical geniuses maybe more than we currently are, and honestly, i dont think than they were humans :P... well, maybe they were, but what it is true its than that will be a special date for some reason.
