Forums - Gaming - Microsoft goes listing. Kinect against Wii and Move

They summed it up nicely.

It's Kinect Adventures vs. Sports Champions vs. Wii Sports and Wii Fit.

Two of those titles have yet to ship, and the other two have a head start of well over 100 million units.

You aint locking anything

Also none of it's lies. It's all very econimical with the truth though

Really? Wii Balance Board is required to enjoy Wii motion gaming?

Really? Navigation controller are required to enjoy PS3 motion gaming when the DS3 can be substituted as well as SONY flat out telling us that MOVE titles can be played with just the MOVE wand?

These charts aren't truth what so ever. They are just as much bullshit as the ones SONY showed us for years and after seeing so many 360 supporters attacking SONY for theirs I am dumbfounded as to why so many now defend these equally, if not more bullshit charts coming from MS right now.

Come on Seece, they are adding in bullshit to make their's seem the least expensive when for 2x player MOVE gaming you only need to spend $150 as a current owner (same as 360) and $70 as a Wii owner.

Also notice how they completely ignore that theirs is the only one incapable of supporting 3 or more players. Where is that on these bullshit charts?

1p Total Cost of Ownership - New Owner
X360 = $300
PS3 = $400-430
Wii = $200

1p Total Cost of Ownership - Existing Console Owner
X360 = $150
PS3 = $100-130
Wii = $0

4p Total Cost of Ownership - New Owner
X360 = CANT BE DONE
PS3 = $400-430
Wii = $200

4p Total Cost of Ownership - Existing Console Owner
X360 = CANT BE DONE
PS3 = $100-130
Wii = $0

My friends can bring their own damned controllers. Not to mention what a piece of crap the arcade version of the X360 is compared to the basic version of the PS3 is.

The new package requires plus $50 for Live and plus ~$60(or more) for a decent HDD.

So totals based on their logic should be:

360 = $410
PS3 = $510 (however still has bigger HDD, bluray, no batteries, etc
Wii = $310 (About 5x the number of games included for this price, arguably better too)

Sorry, Wii is still by far the better valued product for games of this type.

Also, all those that whine about not needing subcontroller are silly. For the game listed, probably not, for games you want to play (FPS, etc) you're not going to want to hold an uncomfortable DS3 for long.

Realistically, Wii's should not even contain Wii Fit and should have Wii Play vs stand alone controller. PS3 should not have any subcontrollers for the game listed. 360 should have what I already added.

This would make the prices:

360 = $410
PS3 = $450 (Still has bigger HDD, bluray, no batteries, etc)
Wii = $270 (Still about 5x the number of games included for this price, arguably better too)

As for existing owners. I can understand existing PS3 owners needing PS3 Eye as it is very low on the sell through rate per PS3 owner, but seriously, does any Wii owner need another Wiimote/nunchuk to make 2players? Also, Wii Fit has a large sell through rate and its arguable wether the group that will potentially want Kinect wouldn't already have Wii Fit. So, Wii's price should $0 or at best $90.

ummm no

PS3 PS Eye is less than 360 Kenict, its obvious they tried to add the move controllers so it doesn't look like you can do "Full body Play" with PS Eye.

also i don't know why everyone gets so worked up on this PR and marketing stuff, everyone does it, and its not illegal to do, life isn't all rainbows you know.
