Good news for gamers, PS3 has picked up steam and the 360 is yet to peak. This is going to be one long generation, the great thing is that Japanese developers are now finally going HD as they cost has become manageable.

Ohh man. Soon 360 will be objectively better console than SNES.

A thread just for me?! Awwww, im touched.

Anyway I think the Xbox 360 will do something like 12.5->13M or thereabouts. 12.5-13M being the range for my greatest confidence interval, or whatever that means!

It should be a good year for the Xbox 360, no matter what happens.

Thanks Seecie bunnie.

Tease.

Updated, X360 is now over 1 million units ahead of it's peak year, and has 3 solid weeks of gains, then it's gains will suffer, but should still be ahead with Reach.

After September is when things could change.

Wow, it just keeps on rolling.

i should be a little down in october but back on in November and December !

This is clearly going to be 360's peak year but I think the overall picture at the moment isn't entirely clear. I strongly suspect we've been overtracking the 360 in EMEAA since the slim launch if this is to be believed:

Although I have my suspicions since he doesn't site a source. And I would suspect with a PS3 price cut in PAL 360 would have a lot of trouble retaining it's current momentum in Europe. I would predict that it will beat 2008 by about 500k.
