they will see the the UK doesnt have the biggest % increase... so it has done very well all over the EU.

Useless link as VGC can't discern between old 360s and 360 slims, so my curiosity will remain unless GfK starts feeling more generous with their data.

Oh, and Seece, there you go with the indirect trolling of me again. Wasn't it only the other day you were doing the exact same thing? It's very hypocritical, you know, to advise me to lighten up when at the same time you come on VGC looking to pick a fight with a Sony poster.


It's all a bit silly this isn't it.  The 360 has done amazingly well... that is really all there is to it.

 

 

Full credit to Microsoft. This is a great first week showing.

I'm just curious to see whether mainland Europe has somewhat reevaluated its opinion of the 360 following the revision and promise of an end to RROD, or whether the pricecut on old models was enough to overcome their wariness of the xbox brand and persuade them to pick up a bargain.

its all about the games and we al know who has the better ones.

also.. i dont think sony wil let this go bye and wait again for 2 years for a price cut i think on gamescon ps3 wil be 249  or a wanneby arcade ps3 is comming for maybe 199?

Yep we do know who has the better ones. 

The one that has games each individual likes. It's individual opinion.

i dont see any price cutting for ps3 if they do id guess it will be in oct-nov after 360 hype dies down reach newer cheaper model ect no need to attack just yet let your opponent fatigue first youll also know what they got to fight with

no 199 ps3s this year or wanneby arcades $250-280 is possible though and sony better do it if they want the gap to be in the 4-5mill range b4 the yrs up

if 360 stays at 200 and 300 i dont think sony has to do anything with there price to outsell em for the holidays imo

Software is hard to track and judging by the official software charts those software figures are wrong.

And Im sure the hardware is very profitable.... oh and they still make a profit on even reduced software you know... lol

Nope. I have to disagree here.

The results on 22nd won't be that great. The Xbox 360 slim cost a lot of money to distribute. Sony had the same stuff with the PS3 slim. They said that the distribution cost a lot of money. And of course the fisal year MS is reporting ends 30th June. So no Xbox 360 Slim stuff from Europe. Of course the fail of the Kin will ruin the numbers as well.

There was only one first party game released for the Xbox 360 and that was Alan Wake with undeserved low sales. Software sales. Other than that we had Splinter Cell Conviction and RDR on the software side.

I don't even expect great shipments of new consoles. Of course hell will break lose, because people will fail to understand that there were a VERY limited amount of consoles shipped right before the Slim launch.

SO this Q4 will be quiet. Q1 2011 will be pretty big with hardware shipments (Slim release) and software wise (Halo Reach). Q2 2011 will be HUGE software and hardware wise (CoD Black Ops, Fable III, Kinect Sports, Dance Central) and hardware wise (Kinect, holiday boost).



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

360 Slim is doing AMAZING but I don't think it will last that long and it looks like at least 120K of those sales were from old 360 owners. It will die down in Others but in America it should continue to sell decent for a while. Wii and P.S.3 are close but either could take a good lead over the other when games start coming out again.
