Its definitely not sold out everywhere. In GAME today, about 3 people bought a slim

Understandable, but if I wanted a XB360 my plan would actually be to buy a phat for less with the hidden agenda that should it break, being a recent and more reliable phat, it would do it quite late, with a very high probability that by then MS could only replace it with a Slim, so I'd get a working phat now for less, possibly replaced later, if necessary, with a Slim without having to pay the Slim's full price.

Precise enough statistics about the real average longevity of the latest phats would be necessary, though, as if their life expectation is little more than 3 years, so still short, but beyond the extended warranty, it would be necessary to "help" them RRoD before the warranty expires.

We are avid gamers. Most people are not going to want to screw around with getting fixes and trade ins.

Your point is well taken though. We still don't really have good info on whether jaspers and these new boxes are anywhere near as bad as the original X360s.

Lol, how childish... All i said is that it isn't sold out here... I went with one of my mates the other day and he got one, considering getting the Arcade/Kinect bundle if it ever comes here as £129.99 for it alone is just commercial suicide!!
