lol, you don't even know what they are yet. Don't worry, I'll reveal them even if I end up being dead wrong. Things are just in too much flux right now.

Don't know if we see the same in Others for 5-6 weeks, I expect it only for 2-3, mainly because there was a pre-order time in Others for 4 weeks. So I guess first week there will be very huge (better than in NA), but it will fall faster in the following weeks. Honestly, I assume the exact same thing. I think many replaced their old 360 because the new one is simply better. One of the main reasons may be that the slim doesn't have RROD anymore (and I heard that it's also not as loud as the old one, not sure about this). And I would even do the same if I used my Xbox more often. |
3 weeks should probably give a good view but I prefer another few weeks over that to really see how the weekly sales are looking after a major launch or change of price.
As for existing owners buying new model... well, that's an interesting question. I get the feeling that more existing 360 owners are buying the new 360 than existing PS3 owners bought the new PS3 model, but it's very hard to tell for sure.
Clearly with the 360s being touted as much quieter and much more reliable it should be more attractive to existing owners to upgrade than the PS3 Slim was - after all apart from saving power if you had a Phat with any form of BC plus the card readers and 4 USB ports a Slim was actually a step backwards, whereas the 360s is clearly a better spec than the existing model plus it for sure is quieter and it should (too early to say for sure obviously) be a lot more reliable.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I think you're right, but we can't be sure about anything. So I guess we have to wait at least till early august to make further assumptions.

Good opening for Crackdown 2. Good numbers all around. Can't wait to see 360 numbers in EMEAA.
Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

Good Xbox 360 sales...next week will probably have it above the Wii again (Europe launch)

Yes, EU launch should give XB360 at least another week, but maybe even two or three, above Wii WW.

true story.
I expect a MS press release where they apologise for offering the Xbox 360 at a great price point.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Actually I can read. I read that the Arcade revision would be launched in the aftermath of Gamescon in August because of an Amazon.de leak. I can also remember, hence the reason why I am able to recall that information now.
