Well, since we have 2 Mafia groups and 22 players I'm betting we have

  • A SK
  • 1 Mafia group of 3
  • A second mafia group of 3
  • 15 townies
  • Unless each Mafia group is at 4, then it would be 13 townies vs 9 anti-town which would be pretty imbalanced.
So we have 14 townies left alive vs probably 5 anti-townies.  I feel pretty good about a lynch today and unless SM128 comes forward I'd recommend you all think about him or Falcon as well.
Anyone see any flaws in my logic?

As far as I know Falcon is already known for lurking, but SM128 always seemed reasonable active, so maybe he got some issues with his internet or he is going into hiding.

Note: SM128 wasn't online the last three days while falcon was online 19 hours ago...

Falcon DID post in this thread in the last 24 hours, but I discount it because it was done during the night phase, and it consists in its entirety of:

"Sorry for not posting but I was a bit busy in the last couple of days, and yes, I know the day just ended. Like always I have a good timing to post

But seriously.. 8 pages? For God's sake.. what happened to the good old "no posts on weekends"?

EDIT- OK, looking at times, it looks like the day didnt "just" end, sorry "

I think I'm justified in not counting that as a post.

I didn't think to check when supermario last logged on.  I guess I'm more willing to cut him some slack for not posting, but then again we have members like Gnizmo who are posting despite connection issues, and hatmoza, who's playing even though he's in the middle of finals.  I myself am preparing for the bar next week, but I'm still logged in and playing.  I find it increasingly difficult to justify a prolonged absence when you agree to play; it makes a person look suspicious in my eyes.

I think I understand why some people said they were disappointed in their role. In a themed game one would expect to get a cool ability, no? So this turn some users got roles that are just townies with Mortal Kombat names, thus disappointment!

About Mario, I agree that he has to get posting, but according to his profile he hasn't been online for the last 3 days. I see it a a little pointless to try to pressure someone to post when they're not even here.

For the other possible lurkers. I'm looking at noname's chart for posts and if they haven't posted recently (or at least what I can remember )

Falcon  ZERO - not online for 19 hours
trangentspree ZERO - 3 hours ago (hasn't posted at all on day two, but quite a bit on day one)
GodOfWar_3ever TWO - one hour ago

Silver-Tiger  ONE - 5 hours ago (an FoS with nothing much else)
SnakeEyez    ZERO - 5 hours ago

Who I would be suspicious of more are the people who have been online recently.

EDIT- ah, yes, I also discounted people who have excuses.

Totally forgot about that post. Lets see if he posts again soon...with something more meaningfull...

When you made the post list you also mentioned tragent and snakeeyez... if we consider targeting lurkers now, we should also consider them, because they haven't posted on day 2 yet...

@ bolded: As I stated on day one I thought he behaved unusual, that is why I targeted him tonight, further on if I had not investigated him, he would be my prime target. Seeing how people where on his back again today, I thought it would be better to post early rather then late.

If I am not mistaken the last two games had a bus driver... though I do not remember if they were pro-town or mafia (I think round 16 was Wario, who was pro-town)

Stefl, I know your intentions were good. But you've doomed us both.

Tonight the mafia won't even think twice of killing me. If they have a roleblocker then you'll be useless as well.

I can see why you did it, and why you announced it, but you did it really prematurely. You should have only said something if I was closed to being lynched.

What some of you seem to forget is that I am actually pretty decent at this game and can talk my way out of a lot of stuff. There hasn't even been a point in this game where I've even felt remotely like I was going to get lynched. No one was even really that suspicious of me. All I've gotten are FoS's, which are completely useless.

This is kind of one of the reasons why I voted for Vetteman. Because posts like his, nonames, and a lesser extent Godofwar_3ever's sometimes get responses from people...

    Sig thanks to Saber! :D

Both of you raise good points.  To be honest, the biggest reason I picked supermario was because he's been MIA the longest, and because there was already one vote against him (one vote out of nineteen doesn't mean much, but a handful can motivate a guy).  The reason I didn't pick trangent was because he was fairly active Day One, but I hadn't realized he'd logged on only a few hours ago.

I still favor voting for supermario, on the theory that he's probably lurking without logging on (he tends to be an active, with an average of almost twelve posts per day...).  But I would not be opposed to selecting a different lurker to pressure instead.

Mario hasn't been on AIM for a couple of days nor Gonintendo. I think it's safe to say he isn't on...

(well if you are going to e-stalk someone then you might as well do it right )

That is the problem I have with my role. It has also led to a severely diminished interest in the game. I demanded a nut punch to check gender of character roles, but never got a response.

This lurker thing seems to have turned into a bit of a witch hunt at this point. If it is really that big a deal then just vote for Falcon and be done with it. At this point nothing real has even been brought up save for one post from stefl. I am going to go ahead and assume none of the other roles turned up anything juicy.

As for my stake I still don't trust dsister. He spent the first day and a half riling everyone up so as to generally keep people off balance, but then when I mention it just drops the whole routine without another word. Strikes me as odd. It is the only thing that sticks out other than the McCarthy trials going on.

The problem with that is... we have no way to prove it. It's not a good idea to lynch someone without any good proof behind it.

You're right: no point in half-assing!

    Alright then, I'll

    Unvote: Supermario

for now.  I'd like to stay with the Suspect The Lurker strategy though.  So, Snakeyez, Falcon, other?   The Snakeyez post I referred to earlier strikes me as the most suspicious of the lot, so I'm leaning towards him.

When in your opinion did I drop it?
