Sony doesn't go big because it's not worth it, and they can't TV advertise every one of their products - they have far too many.

It's obvious that Market Research tells that if SCE advertise heavily on most things they will actually be financially worse off than if they didn't.

Surprisingly frank and honest. I was expecting something akin to FUD. This is some good insight into the inner workings of both Microsoft and Sony given the fact that he worked at Sony and he presently works at Microsoft.

So HD-DVD = FUD. Interesting stuff, I guess certain people were right.

Move = FUD??? Well I don't know for sure, but I suspect hes talking about ground up support for Move vs simply tacking on the control scheme. How many honest to goodness ground up Move titles are there which aren't trying to replicate Wii Sports, Sports resort or Play which are launching in 2010? Granted Kinect actually seems to require ground up integration vs Move simply being a replacement analogue stick, so maybe? 

Maybe this piece is FUD about Move being FUD when Move is FUD or this is FUD about Move being FUD when Move isn't FUD.

sonys partnership with coke shows this guy is talking out of his ass.. claiming that move has no game on a podcast which only hardcore gamers listen to is not a great idea considering they only showed casual games for kinect

Agreed. The day after microsoft revealed kinect at E3 there was a huge ass banner on youtube for 3 days linking to microsoft youtube homepage detailing connect. I mean they went as far as to pay bieber to show the shit at his concert.

So...when people are unsure of new technology, they won't hop on board?

Well, in that case, Move will indefinitely be a success and saleswise, Kinect will be a miserable failure. 

Move = Wii HD, right? Lol. But Wii is massively successful. Kinect is just EyeToy/PSEye 1.5? And barely anyone bought those. And those peripherals were like $40! $150, M$ is asking? Get outta here!

Very dumb interview, i like how kinect isnt releaseing w/ hardcore games like gears of war or Reach, and is sticking with WII type games were as Move is releasing with Support for hardcore titles like SOCOM as well as games like Heroes on the move and Sony versions of Wii games it seems like sony is backing Move more than M$ is kinect, maybe this could be a repeat of HDDVD vs Bluray or it could turn out the other way around

But doesn't the origin of Move (at least the patent for the wand) date back  5 or so years?
