Forums - Nintendo - nintendo DS is a pile of C***

C*** = Cool

i have to say im really gotten into my DS now, most perfect handheld made imo.

the rpg games etc are so perfectly suited to a handheld, really really enjoying lunar eclipse.

cant wait to pick up more titles, just got final fantasy CC for £3.50 games are absolute bargain, waiting toget fire emblem next.

not to mention the gba compatibility, link to a past and donkey kong country are just ace.

currently also looking to get phantasy star 0 and infinite space.

i highly recomend getting one, i actually used to hate the DS but it does grow on you, simply brilliant.

Hahahaha, nice title

I agree wholeheartedly, the nintendo DS is really an amazing handheld, pretty much surpassing anything that Nintendo has done before in the handheld department.

Since I've got mine in April, I haven't been able to let it go, there's just a huge amount of great games for it. Currently i'm playing Chrono Trigger and trying to finish Stardust Accelerator.

And good for you to get the old model DS, for the GBA compatibility. Since mine's a DSi XL, it doesn't have the GBA port, but it makes up for it by being perfect in design

it really is great

Really? The Nintendo DS RPG's annoy me..not because their bad, but shameless unoriginal and too many remakes. For some strange reason developers develop RPG's on the DS like there developing SNES RPG"s  not DS RPG's. The Nostalgia was cool( not boring game nostalgia) but after SE milked it for everybody they got stale quickly

Sands of the Destruction is the biggest RPG disappointment on the system..comepletely boring Great story though!

I kind of like it that way to be honest. I hate the stylus, thus an RPG developed specifically for the DS would probably be a huge turn off for me.

Someone is good at deception. I thought we were in for another SciFiBoy styled meltdown.

I'll also agree with the general sentiments of the thread.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Best handheld ever - it's my favourite system ever ^^

you misinterpreted. I mean developers create RPG's on the DS like its 15-20 years ago. Nostalgia only works for so long. After the same Generic RPG over and over again kinda want something with a current mindset. very few RPG's are created like its current gen.

ye devs do develop rpg as if they are snes games, id say slightly higher than snes though, but for handheld they are enjoyable.

grafix on DQ are amazing. the way you mode7 the screen looks brill

but its not just rpg though, classic 2d style games like castlevania are pretty good, and unique titles like eletroplankton and professor layton

The Nintendo DS is a handheld that I believe everyone can enjoy.  Do you have a DS Lite or a DSi? Perhaps an XL or Original DS?

Pixel Art can be fun.
