As I'm playing Chrono Trigger for the bajillion time on my DS (pretty good port, especially when played DS style. The implementation of the Arena of Ages is pretty nifty too), it made me realize how much I still hate Square, in regards to CT.

Does anyone remember this?:

Damn you Square, damn you and your money grubbing ways, your hope/dreams crushing manipulations and heart-shattering crap ideas. Where was the remake that you promised? Oh right, we only deserve another damn port. We the fans that have put up with so much s*** from you in the last years, only got more of the same, because you a**holes can't seem to do a proper remake like this one. Oh yeah, because you can't f***** program and it's toooooo complicated to do a game isn't it?
Never mind that this resurrection project was being done by a small group of devoted fans, who could probably do a better job at remaking CT than you could ever do.

So yeah, F*** you Square >_>

I still need to finish CT. I loved it but then I got other games and forgot to finish it, damn. >.>

Honestly, I don't mind a port, maybe because I never played the original anyways, but I'm satisfied. And I don't think it even needs 3D, I love how it looks. 

Chrono Trigger is cool the way it is. It is awesome and magical and I am currently resurrecting the Masamune and all is well in Chrono Trigger country.

Oh don't get me wrong, Chrono Trigger is pretty much one of the best RPG experiences I've ever had, and it still is even after all this years. I'm playing it again on the DS, and I'm having as much fun as I did on my first time around with the game. 

It's only that we had so much hopes with this ressurection project and everything was going so well, until Square decided to pull the plug on it just like that, without doing a damn thing. And from the looks of how it was going, it was shaping up to be amazing too. And it ticks me off that a small group of fans can do a better job at remaking a game than a company that's supposed to know the workings of the game from the inside out. 

Those two vis did look great though....

I actually thought the cut scenes in the DS version were odd and took away some of the greatness of the game. they felt out of place.

But then, medievil music is just magic.

Although I do love (and I mean it makes my heart flutter) the idea of an awesome remake of chrono trigger id rather a third installment of the series.

You mean the videos? yeah, they are kinda odd, but so far, I've only seen like two of them (one for Robo and for Ayla. I'm up to the dreamstone part too).
