ROFL @ Limbo being ahead of GT5. I'm somewhat of a 360 fanboy and even I have to shake my head at that. I have no doubt that Limbo will be awesome....for an XBL Arcade game...but it's not gonna be better than Sony's flagship racer that's been in production and being polished since algae was the dominant life form on Earth.

I don't see how any Limbo/GT 5 comparison is valid in the slightest. Two completely different genres and two different distributions to boot.

I don't see how your post is valid in the slightest considering no one compared GT5 to Limbo. I simply implied that it seems shocking that an XBL Arcade game could be more anticipated than the first game in Sony's biggest franchise to be released this gen.

How does it seem shocking? Is it impossible for you to fathom that people might take more to Limbo than GT 5? The fact that GT 5 is Sony's biggest franchise doesn't amount to a hill of beans when you're asking 10-15 people what their most anticipated titles are. Are you suggesting that GT 5 should automatically beat other titles just because of its popularity?
EDIT: And pointing out that Limbo is an XBLA game while GT is Sony's biggest franchise is trying to compare them, whether you want to admit it or not.

It seems shocking because...get this...I found it shocking. You can't tell me what i should and shouldn't find shocking. Also, comparing the anticipation levels of 2 things is not the same as comparing 2 things to each other. I could compare the anticipation level of Halo Reach to an Avatar movie sequel without ever comparing Halo to Avatar.
|
Nice question dodging. If you can't explain why you found it shocking, just say so and stop trying to sidestep the question. If not, I'll just assume it's because one's an XBLA game and the other's a retail game and assume you don't put them on a level playing field in terms of anticpation and overall games.

Gees, ease up on the guy, he already explained it and I'm inclined to agree with him:
GT5: Established franchise, no.1 racing franchise, highly anticipated since the PS3 was launched, highly polished, huge production values, has Top gear test track: a show watched by 350 million people worldwide
vs
Limbo: niche platformer/puzzle game, completely new IP, relatively low marketing, production values and budget. Indie game.
No-one said Limbo won't be a good game, but having it higher on a list of "most-wanted" ahead of a game that's arguably the most-anticipated racing title (or just plain title for many) of the gen is just a little bit weird.
