I was just saying. When he was shown in the trailer. He looked absolutely lifeless. A stiff character. Hopefully that changes when we actually play the game.

| Ghutto said: What's the problem if he is the director or the co-director? This is a colaboration between Mistwalker and Nintendo and The Last Story is a Nintendo's Trademark. After all this is a Nintendo's game. I believe that Mr. M is Miyamoto. |
Miyamoto doesn't co-direct, and really doesn't direct anymore at all. He certainly wouldn't direct a game under Sakaguchi either, much less an RPG (a genre he's confessed to personally not liking, repeatedly).
Besides, we know that one of the AQi groups (Artoon, Feelplus, Cavia) is working on a Nintendo game they can't name under contract. That's probably this. We've had no indication at all that Nintendo's doing any development themselves on it either.
Eh, Really. Mistwalkers stuff hasn't been impressive to me, All worse than any game in the final fantasy series to me. 5-13 imo though Lost Odyssey was on par with 1 or 2 imo, blue dragon was blehhhh imo. That said, I thought the Final Fantasy movie was awesome. And that was the last thing I remember him pouring his heart into (I think).
Unfortunately it flopped. Hopefully this will turn out the same without the flop.

Lol he is trying to redo final fantasy, sorry Sakaguchi as much as i love you, i don't think you are really doing what you are saying.

LO had everything a FF fan could want, Great story, Great charactor development, great old school battle systen ( The way FF should be) and towns and.. well it had it all. What is ff13 got?, liner maps most of the game is Cut scene, follow liner path, battle, follow liner path, cut scene etc. How anyone could rate it above LO is just an FF fan who would think anything FF related was the best thing ever imo, and that would be true up until FF10 then after that things went down hill imo.. |
um, well I'm not real that's fine. I don't care if I'm not really an RPG fan, because well. I'm not an RPG fan. I like games if they are fun, and entertaining I don't care if you call it it Emphysema. If it's good imo ofcourse I will like it.
I didn't like Final Fantasy's 1-3 (though I played them way after they came out), or 11 or 12 all I'd consider below the Lost Odyssey. That's 5/13 games. So I can't just like everything Final Fantasy. I will stand by what I said, and say I am much more dissapointed in what Sakaguchi has done after FF, than what SE has done with FF. Yes that's not the popular viewpoint, but I don't care it's my opinion.
That Said, I am Still looking forward to Last Story. Though Xenoblade more. Tis the truth!

The only thing I didn't like about LO was the dreams. I found them stupid, and skipped them all.
| zero129 said: So what made the FF games more entertaining to you? just asking here since LO had pretty much anything an FF fan could ask for in it, so anyone that liked an FF game should of liked LO as it as all the're needs more so then FF13?. And what makes you rate FF13 above it? and rate LO so low?. since FF13 was nothing but walk, battle cutscene, battle, walke etc etc?. you find that entertaining? then why didnt you hate every other FF game before it?, since LO is pretty much just like them only with another story |
The bolded is the reason. Yes, The side stories in LO were better than the story in 13. But neither were really that impressive in my opinion. I liked the battle system, art design, graphics, music, characters better. And it was simply more fun.
But your in a tizzy for no reason. I never said I didn't like LO I would give it an 8.5. FFXIII I'd give a 9

you said you rated it below FF1 or 2 so then that must mean you rate every FF game since then below it too right?.. |
No I'll hilight my post below, I said I rated lost odyssey above FF's 1-4,11,12 imo ofcourse. Lost Odyssey can be your favorite game, IDC

Bolded, though with grammar errors. And yes, I'm excited. I just do not think that sakaguchi is unflawed or uncapable of making a bad game. Just how I think of SE or nintendo. And the respective people in those.

Looking back at all the JRPG's I've purchased, Sakaguchi has been behind 90% of them. I think it's safe to say to say that if Sakaguchi retires, JRPG's are dead to me unless someone grabs the JRPG reigns. This has yet to happen.
P.S.
Final Fantasy will continue to go down hill and Nomura cannot save it. Ever since Sakaguchi parted ways with Square before they joined forces with Enix this has been their fate. Nomura is only slowing the bleeding of the franchise Sakaguchi created and popularized.
