i just dont' get it, why woudl they not release the game out west?
wouldn't it sell at least a couple hundred thousand? since when is it a good idea to ignore a guaranteed 200k in sales

Especially when you have a group of 5 or so fans who could translate it for free within a year. Of course there are other fees, but it would probably cause considerably less than making any game, so there is no reason not to make money off of it.

'Cause someone is mad. Namco could just add English subtitles to lower costs and then release it in te west. I'm 99% sure it would pay off. But Namco doesn't seem to like money.
Then we have Tales of Vesperia for PS3. Since it was released on 360 in the west all Namco would have to do is translate and add voices for the new content. It would certainly pay off as well. But, Namco hates money...It's like they are trying to fail as hard as possible so they can get rid of the Tales studios...

tov (360) in the west (even europe!! besides tos is the only one) is a miracle let's pray for this one too XD
Never thought it would have to come to this, buut I will be doing whatever needs to be done to my Wii to play this. Stupid ass Namco.
Awesome, I've got the Japanese version already and although I study Japanese I am not yet able to follow everything (more than I was when I played it though). Happy to finaly be able to play it in English.

Seems that is all they are doing these days.....
And your idea of Tales team going to NIS or Atlus = genius. You sir deserve a cookie
Did anyone here play their Fatal Frame IV? Do you need to use homebrew or anything? Does it have to be a retail version or does a burnt disc work? I never pirate games, but if I have to go through this much trouble to play Tales of Graces, Namco doesn't deserve one cent from me.

I just needed a retail copy of the game (got it from ebay) and an empty SD card to load the patch onto. There was also a way to play through homebrew but I didn't need it so it so I didn't bother looking into it. It was easy. Those guys did a fantasic job.

Sounds like a lot of work. Glad someone's doing it, though.
In case I missed it though, was it ever confirmed ToG isn't coming here? Or are we assuming because so much time has passed?
