Forums - Microsoft - Square: MS unwilling to work on FFXIV 360 problems

Microsoft used the most of Square Enix's huge name, and now that FFXIII came out there's nothing left They're not to squeeze out, so why squeeze?

I think it has more to do with msfts set up of live...servers..the very very small audience that plays ff14 on a console( the cost of making it) dealing with live sub..support...set up.

That and honestly at this point msft I feel are picking and choosing what they want on thier platforms(360/PC).

Yeah, with the PS3 just plug in a keyboard... not a big difference. The graphics will change, but as for hotkeys and what not, not a big difference. I dunno if FF14 will provide mouse support though. The PS3 is definitely mouse ready, however.

I used to have FFXI on PC and PS2, I always played on ps2 because I could just lay in bed or whatever and be lazy while playing.. I didnt really prefer being hunched over a desk and killing myself like that on a PC.

I only kept it on PC because it was my laptop and I could take it around and play anywhere...

Consoles are more comfortable in my opinion, especially now everything is wireless

I used to play WHM/BLM and honestly I don't know how I could've managed without a keyboard. I had like ten million macros for my stuff :<

PS3 supports a keyboard, so thats not an issue anymore. Actually ps2 also supported a keyboard, thats what I always used.  I agree, with controller only no way in hell can you play an MMO.

I'm an old school WHM on Cerberus. I was the shiz. and I found it easier to play without macros for that job.

Your full of it.

I work in the mmo scene and your statement is faaaar from the truth.

I dare you to toss up some community sites backing your ridiculous claim.

Not only that  I'm a avid ffonline player...alot of folks are excited about ff14..and none of them are going ""omg my pc is soo old must spend 300$ for a ps3 to play a heavily down graded and dumbed down version instead of spending 99$ for a new vid card" etc.

I get your like gaga over anything ff and ps3 but...you need to get your facts right.

Visit Eorzeapedia.com or FFXIVcore.com or FFXIV Zam

There are many threads associated with just how disappointed people are that the PS3 version got delayed. People don't have the money to go out and buy new computers for 800

The PS3 is 300 dollars and will be able to run it at 720p fine. And a new graphics card is not the only thing needed for most people. CPU, GPU, Ram, and Video cards will be needed.

I'm glad that you are fortunate to have all the money in the world apparently, but not everyone has that style of luxury. and for reference, I DOUBT you work in the MMO scene....pal.

Sigh.

So now you take a small % of the(a) community *who already play it say on the ps2* and take that as the majority of the community is the flip side? Nope. Not at all. The user base is rather small for ffonline for those using the ps2/3 or 360.

(I'm sure there was many upset at the delay...but that wasn't the point)

"Especially since alot of FFXI players are jumping ship and their PCs are dated."

You can build a great gaming rig for about $300-500$. Thats buying everything new. And not reusing anything from the ''out-dated'' pc.

(If you need help or need to see for your self, then I have no problem informing you a bit)

As for your "and for reference, I DOUBT you work in the MMO scene....pal.''

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Think what you want BUT I can back it up.

And if you want me too..well...your going to get pwnd pretty hard.

Of course you can. I am also the pope in disguise. Since we are making stuff up and all.

So your just gonna digress to being a child? Nice.

/ignore.

I was just reading the replys and came across this conversation.  DarkisWR, you sound like you are full of it just from the way you post.  Your posts are childish and insulting to the person you are debating with, and really destroys your credibility.  I just thought it was funny, that is all.

So lets see.

I come across as childish for calling him out on his comment?

Oddly enough others call his bs and I'm the bad guy?

Sorry but he sure acted like a child to me with his comments.

Reason I toted my mmo stuff...is I knew for a damn fact wagrms info was gutter trash.

And out of my last reply all he could do was act smart and bait.

Now seeing you come here n post..kinda makes me feel like his e-buddies are coming here to forum hump each others leg...hell I wonder if your the guy who's been posting on my wall and when I sent him a bit of my resume he tosses out some more bs ''teen'' replys.

You already see the issue was dead and yet you want to bring it back up?

Why don't you post on topic.

Oh and the ''me'' dropping what I do for a living...I guess that was indeed in poor taste..but with all I do...I felt it was very very relevant to his post.

You are right, I will keep this short to avoid a long discussion that has nothing to do with the original post.

I will just point out that your first sentence in your first post in your argument with him was "you are full of it".  It instantly gives anyone that is reading your post a negative impression of you.  I always try my best to sound calm and reasonable with anyone I am debating with as to not destroy my own credibility.  It is not only me, if you look at the long time posters in this forum you will see the same type of attitude.

Take my advice or leave it, I don't care.
