WoW when it wasn't casual and raids were actually hard during AQ40 or old Nax. Action RPG that required skills at it's best, now long gone. /cry

I hate turn-based battles so much!!!... I just takes away from the game experiance in my opinion
Which is probably why I choose to never play JRPG's

btw, I've always liked Tales combat better than FF combat because I'm a combo whore but it's not like I hate turn based combat.

nah turn based games required more strategy, because you have to get your sequence of events right choose the right type off moves to cause the most type of damage.
For example in baton kaitos (which I found relatively fun), if you used cards that were sequentially ordered and in the same grouping, you would get more damage hit points.

that depends, most people can't react fast enough in real time, to have complexity in a real time game would require much more skill than turn based where people would have more time to think.

There really isn't a lot of strategy in most turn-based JRPGs. And there really isn't a lot of skill in most action-based JRPGs.
So which is more exciting to you, spamming menus or spamming buttons? I suspect most RPG fans don't care much about challenging strategy or challenging action. They just want a story to follow and the sense of accomplishment that comes from earning levels.
