I know the U.S. has a hardcore userbase which will practically buy anything and everything remotely Xbox 360 related and bought multiple consoles for HDD size, colours etc. However in the longer term I believe the revision is more important to the E.U. and specifically mainland Europe than it is in the U.S.
The Xbox 360 simply has a harder time in mainland Europe relative to how it does in the U.S. Also the negative qualities of the original design seem to effect that market more as the people there already have a lower opinion of the console in general than the U.S. and the negatives like the lack of wireless, noise, reliability all simply add to that problem.
So the Xbox 360 revision as it seems to solve the majority of the issues that people might have had in the EU with the original Xbox 360 design may help the 360 to compete more effectively in that region. Its going to add any reason for anyone to get an Xbox 360 who wasn't already a potential buyer, but it will take away most of the reasons why they wouldn't get one if they were indeed interested.
So in my opinion the revision will effect long term sales of the 360 in the EU more than the U.S based on the percentage difference in overall demand in the mid to long term.
Agree?
