Forums - Microsoft - I Survived RROD.

RROD Remains Exclusive to the XBox 360. I used to be a 360 owner and all that. There is no need to give specifics. I learned from my experience, we all make purchase mistakes from time to time. Now it is time to upgrade to the PS3 Slim.

Seece buys a PS3 Slim and tells us all in the Sony forum about his best purchase decision ever. No need to pressure you or anything, it is totally up to you. Sony needs your sale. Please cancel that 360 Slim order.

BTW: This is no attempt to troll and definitely not a desperate sales pitch.

Don't think so ...

I've gone through 2. Microsoft replaced the first one, and was nice about it. But this one no.

I really don't have very much money now unlike a few years ago, and I'm on a budget with gaming probably around 200 dollars a year. plus presents for birthday christmas. So buying a new one would destroy my budget. I'll probably get another one when it gets cheaper. As I've still not beaten Lost Odyssey.

You can always try to fix it yourself.

It's really easy.

Just to clear something up (which I don't think I got across in opening post) I've NEVER had RROD. So what I mean by survive is, never having experienced it!

That's not surviving!  That's like claiming you survived the Bubonic Plague, and creating a thread about it.

If anything, you're trolling the 360 by bringing attention to its failure rate, and how having a 360 for four years without it failing is a rare and special occasion worth celebrating.

That's cool :).  Congrats!

ROFL!  Okay then, just making sure you knew what you were doing!  Congratulations!

That's a friggin' miracle.

Though my friend had his for close to four years his disc drive failed.

I play my 360 on average 30 hours a week (sometimes A LOT more) and had two RRODs. Once on my original console and second on my new Falcon model. I will probably be buying the newer model if mine RRODs again.

It's just that simple.
