I would hope a tweet like this is foreshadowing rather than a build up for a disappointment.

Somehow though, I doubt N Ltd. would allow false  tempting again (see Disaster).

lebron james did just that!

but that isn't normal... I don't imagine a sakaguchi game not coming to the west... but I could be wrong.

Well, the west never got Seiken Densetsu 3 and Bahamut Lagoon, both which I think Sakaguchi worked on.

Also, us unlucky folk in Europe never originally got Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasies I - VI and Chrono Trigger too

Prepare my friends, because there was a typo on the info:

'Argh, it's a typo. I meant to say "by the end of this YEAR". Sorry.'

That's a looong way to home

okay I forgot about those. I lose, oh well. Still, your arguing in the direction that it might not come. :( be positive!

the game is trademarked by Nintendo in America and Europe so that gives it good chances. Plus there's no reason for them not to say "oh yeah, here's a new game by FF's father, interested?"

release dates hopefully

Microsoft did that for Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Neither sold 1 million. (or barely got to it... i havent' checked in a while. LO is excellent btw! imo)

Though, yes I think nintendo's a much better fit. Sakaguchi is no guarentee in sales. Or the xbox is atrocious at selling japanese style games. Or both or neither. Hmmmm

Honestly, I think it will come.  I don't know when, but I think it will.  I just hope Nintendo actually provide a decent amount of advertising for this game.

The fact that the Trademark is out there by NOA and NOE is probably the best argument that these games will leave Japan.

As for marketing, Nintendo consoles are a better fit than the Xbox 360. An actual FF game (XIII) only sold 1.5M on that console in non-Japanese markets.

Finally, I am not sure how LeBron gave off false impressions.  Some people (e.g. Steven A. Smith) were wrote the trio would end up in Miami two weeks ago. And the rumor that LeBron, D-Wade, and Bosh would play together after 2010 (with CP joining them in 2012) has been around since the 2008 Olympics.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

It appears the tweet has been deleted, as the page in the OP no longer exists.

I don't really see any reason why Last Story wouldn't come to America eventually, though. It's a full-scale RPG with high production values and a renowned developer at the helm, and there shouldn't be any particular legally questionable content that would keep it in a permanent limbo.

Nintendo would probably in europe as its its wekest market when it comes to non casual games but monster hunter tri sold great with adverts.
