Forums - Nintendo - What to do with a deceased Mii?

It hasn't happened to me yet but it must have happened to somebody considering all the grandmas and pas that play Wii.

What do you do with the Mii of someone who has died?

Delete it? Keep it around like a photograph?

If you keep it, are you happy to have it cheer you on from the stands while you swordfight? Isn't that kind of like being haunted?

What about young children? Is it ok for little Tommy to go play with dead Grandma on the Wii?

Do you transfer it to Wii2 or leave it?

What do you want to happen to your Mii when you die?

I think I would take them for one last plane ride in Wii Sports Resort and cremate them in the volcano on Wuhu island.

that's a good question, hasn't happened to me yet but i woould probably just delete it.

I have a grandfather that passed away 2 years ago with his Mii still in my console. I think it's better if you keep it for a sort of remembrance that person has given you.  I mean, whenever he appears as an audience I always tell myself, "Ah, he's watching so I have to do my best!" or something along those lines. =P  It certainly helps me during the Swordfights in WSR.

I am a Breakout Bat.
I am an abstract sort of creature, who dislikes any sort of restraint. If you try to pigeonhole me, I'll break the box, and come back for more. I don't have any particular ambitions, I just drift, but I am adept at keeping life going along.

I wasn't sure what you were talking about from the topic title, but that is an interesting thought. I fortunately have not had that happen yet, but I think it would be strange. It might take some of the enjoyment out of a game if you are reminded of your loss by that person's Mii. On the otherhand I think it could be equally depressing to actually delete the Mii knowing you can never get it back. I'll be interested to see what other people think.

So, if you don't mind me asking, were other family members OK with it? Will you transfer it and treat it like a keepsake?

Well, I had a coach that I made a mii of. He was fired, left, and I deleted him.

Today I regret that decision, so if I make someone that dies, I'm keeping them.

There are thousands of Mii's of people who are already dead, like Elvis Presley.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Yeah I heard. This was more about friends or relatives though.

I'm with Old Rock. Keep it and smile when you see it (remembering that person). I wouldn't erase it.

Hmm, never really thought about it before. I suppose I would keep it.
