Forums - Gaming - So... how good is dead red redemption anyway?

It's a fun game, but not nearly as good as some people like to think it is. That's just my opinion though. Maybe I've just gotten over Rockstar, but this did nothing to change my opinion that they are the most overrated game developer of this generation.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

How long does it take to beat it?

It took me 20 hours to beat, but there is plenty of motivation to continue. It is just a great game in almost every way (though the combat isnt quite up to Gears or Uncharted)

In my opinion, it shits all over every GTA game released the past three years or so and its easily the best game Rockstar have ever made (yes, better than GTA SA and VC).

Oh wait... this is even better...

Are you saying that is better than SA and VC? Geee...

Care to elaborate? Thanks!

The shooting controls are miles ahead of any GTA title, the voice acting is among the best I've ever heard in a game. The characters are incredible and the setting is thorough and vibrant like no other game I've ever played in my life. The graphics are awesome for a sandbox game, a whole lot better than GTA IV and the music is really, really good. To top it all off, the story is good, not brilliant but good and some of the sidequests are hilarious.

The best part of the game is the random shit that happens all the time and gets you into trouble, which is a reflection of how alive and real the world is and the world is enormous!

The only complaint I have may be that some of the missions get a tad repetitive and there are some pretty major bugs out there, but I haven't had too many problems with the latter. All in all, this game is close to a 9/10 for me, maybe an 8.8 or 8.9 and to me, that's exceptional.
