I've tried to revive the "official" thread but it looks like a ghost town... I also could have checked for similar topic threads, but It seems that the find thread feature of VG 3.0 is broken. That is why I decided to open this thread to talk about this game I have not played yet.

First I must say that I just loved vice city and San Andreas, but I cannot like GTA IV. (It is weird, I don't know whta is wrong with critics, with me or the game). I am forcing myself to finish the Nico Bellic story.

The last game that I found awesome was Oblivion. I know it is a different genre, but they all are openworld games.

So... Is Red Redemption as good as they say? What did you loved about it?

PS: I don't care for multiplayer so let's only talk about the single player game. Thanks

great story, much better than gta4 but imo it still isn't up to vice city or san andreas but it is a serious step in the right direction.

more games you can play dice, poker, horse shoes some finger game. duels, stopping people who stole from shops. the best thing I can say is the story and setting were very well done.

I would say 8.1/10

It's fantastic and GOTY 2010. The world with all its environments is lovely. So many animals you encounter. Freedom.

As an open world and Oblivion lover like me u wont be disappointed. (I didn't like GTA4 either btw)

How long does it take to beat it?

I hated GTA4 I played this game liked it then started playing Fallout 3 and then I started playing Gow collection Plated both and then got MW2 and the rest is history,I haven't played the game in almost a month,I would plat it but I hate multiplayer trophies.

The game looks fun. I am definately getting the 360 version because  of hilarious glitches(unless ps3 has them to).

Excellent storytelling, great voice acting, immersive environment, penty of things to do on the side, miles ahead of GTA4 imo.
