Neat but meh.

I was a colossal Metallica fan until they began suing their own fans over mp3s. It all went downhill from there.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Awesome. Although I think that Metallica's best days are behind them that will be awesome.

I may download it. I so wish I could have the Halo Rock Remix on Rock Band, though ...

In before "sellout" calling. And I like some of Metallica's stuff, like the M:I song.

Holy crap! This is definitely unexpected and newsworthy! I mean who knew that people still cared about Metallica?

Hmm, sounds cool. Metallica have passed their prime, but im sure this will be a brilliant addition to Rock Band.

The song itself may matter little to Rock Band, but the idea that new songs may be promoted this way makes the game look a lot more appealing, I'd wager. If they continue to do stuff like this they may very well compete on even fotting with GH in the future.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

Interesting news indeed, I was starting to wonder if they had all died in a drunken haze somewhere. Their new album was due March last year, ut it's not here yet...

 Well played.  *golf clap*

Looks like Rock Band will be able to politically push their DLC idea, and perhaps rival other music games...

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
