I just had this crazy idea. Seeing as mario galaxy placed below mario and sonic in the official uk charts.

What if nintendo is trying to improve the attachrate for 3rd parties to help them gain more money and make sure they will create more games for the wii.

The reason because amazon uk ( inclusive a lot of other stores)

amazon germany and a lot of dutch stores are simple sold out of it. While it does not seem to make a lot of numbers in europe yet.

So demand is there but no supply.

So I wonder could nintendo be doing this to help 3rd parties and in the end help themself?

Remember its not the nintendo that only thinks about themself anymore. They actually want 3rd party support now seeing as it killed them not having it in the gc era.

I seriously doubt they are doing it for the reasons you stated.

Any supply problems are far more likely to be caused by the disc production problems mentioned a few weeks back by Nintendo and some 3rd Party Developers.

There is NO CONSPIRACY. They cannot increase production further without a massive risk to future profitability if demand drops off and they've invested millions of pounds in new facilities.

Remember, Nintendo has been producing consoles at an unprecedented rate compared to past manufacturers. They, and the industry, have never had to deal with such high demand.
