So I'm about 3 hours into Dragon Quest IX and I must say that this could turn out to be my favorite RPG this gen for one reason only(or mostly), and that is that this game is EXTREMELY charming and addictive.

@maxxpower, u will like it alot i think. i enjoyed the japanese version alot , my american copy arrived today.  level 5 did a very good job with this game, their 2nd dragon quest game now.

Oh man, I really hope you enjoy DQIX. Here in Europe we have to wait until the 26th I'm actually holding off every other game purchase because of it

This is actually the first level 5 game I play, and after this I will definitely check out their other games like Dragon Quest VIII and maybe Dark Cloud and Rogue Galaxy.

Of course, it's DQ and Level 5 has shown that they can do an amazing DQ game, with DQ VIII You should really give it a try one of these days, it's more traditional DQ than DQ IX, but still good nonetheless.

Oh and the Dark Cloud/Dark Chronicles series is amazing too

@maxxpower, i think dark cloud is their best game they have made yet. rogue galaxy is very good too, and so is wkc as well.

i like their professor layton games on the ds, very good games . :)

Anyone interested in Rune Factory 3? I've been looking at the past two games, and they look pretty addicting. The screenies from this one look great as well.

I will be honest. I don't really like handheld gaming, at all. Though I've owned GBC,GBA, DS, PSP, Game Gear.

As I would rather have it on the bigger screen, better graphics and in the DS's case especially better sound.

I have 3 RPG's On the DS

The World Ends with you: This game is my favorite this gen. It was Fresh, and different, and something only the DS could do. And the only hand held game I've ever played, I wouldn't want to port to tv console. For Example Crisis Core, and Pokemon, I want them to do them on tv console (and technically I plugged my PSP into my tv and played it on TV)

Pokemon Platinum: Good, Pokemon. Fun Though, too much of the same formular for me since I was a lil kid.

FFIV: I was rather dissapointed in this game. (Though still a great game) At the ravings it gets from many FF fans.

DQIV: Was okay for me.

I really want DQV but it's hard to find. I liked dragon quest VIII. and I didn't really like DQIV remake on DS
But, I'd rather have the PS2 remake that was released only in Japan over this. But this version will do, and hopefully impress :)
