So far, i'm about 21 hours in the game, just after defeating the Lleviathan. I've been taking it slowly, because I levelled up some extra vocations to 15 to get access to all Lvl. 15 quests. I'm having a huge trouble completing the Armamentalist quest though, since the only place I can find Metal Slimes is in Quarantomb and even then, they're extremely rare and almost always they run before I can lay the final hit after using Wizard Ward.

@lestatdark, my time has been used for obtaining skills in the trees and exploring every square inch of the game. its my 2nd favorite dragon quest game as of right now, behind only dragon quest 8.

To me it's quickly growing to be one of my favourites as well. The story is also pretty good so far, especially since the addition of characterless party members allows the story to fully focus on the main character itself. 

I need to get myself a good farming place for the vocations, or at least a place where Metal Slimes are more frequent.

No, but I have been wondering whether to get that or FFT: A2 for my SRPG on DS. I think I'll like those more than Fire Emblem. Anyway, have you played A2?

I bought it, but really didn't get into it.  It was my first Disgaea game and I heard it was a good one to start on.   It didn't hold my interest for too long.  It's a little too deep for my tastes.  I may return to it one of these days for an SRPG fix since Atlus has no plans to release Luminous Arc 3 here.
