the guy in the video switched to cockpit view a few times and then his head movement is picked up by the Playstation eye, although i think he exaggerates his moves too much to show off the tech.

I dont see the purpose for this, but i guess its a nice feature. Im excited about what GT5 brings though.

This looks good, but many sites and ISR have noted that it only works sideways. Which is not a bad thing for GT5, since it will be most useful when you're trying to look at the apex of a curb or to see the dead angles when a car is trying to pass you.

If that's how it works, then nice, it shouldn't strain my eyes, which was my sole concern.

you aren't completley lookin away from the screen

just getting a bigger view of the things outside the the screen view

 

this will be very good if you have a big TV

it is very good if you have a bigger TV and want to look at the competitors on the side of your car

also very good for real drivers using GT5 to learn

This is the kind of head tracking implementation that I just don't see the value in. It breaks immersion to move your head to the left, but need to move your eyes to the right so you can see what's "left" of you.

Normally if you want to look left you just move your eyes left with little or no  head movement. Head tracking works the opposite which does take a little getting use to. That is,you move your head left instead while your eyes stay in place.
