With 360 sales at 23,581,894 YTD in US and 40,606,790 YTD worldwide, I was thinking today how many actual owners are there out there.
Is there possibly only 11,791,447 owners YTD in US and maybe only 20,303,395 owners YTD worldwide?
My nephew went through 3 360s before finally switching to a PS3. My friends have all gone through multiple consoles and the fewest is 2. I know die hard 360 fans will purchase another 360 if their original failed. And there seems to be quite a few that are planning to buy the new 360 short. It's interesting to think what if there was a chart to show actual owners. Did replacement 360s get counted in the totals? I know my DVD drive quit on the Wii and I sent it in for warranty repair and got mine back. I have never bought a console twice in my lifetime, EVER. I probably would I guess with the Wii considering how many games I've already invested in. I don't rent any games at all. And it seems like a lot of my friends will trade in games for new games.
It's just a thought that I've found interesting. Just curious who out there has had the same thought and I'm curiuos what the most consoles someone has bought of one single generation. My nephew is tied with the leaders at three 360 consoles.
Consoles owned: NES, N64, PS1, GC, PS2, Wii.
