(sorry, Nathan Drake doesn't need imagination to be created, just a lot of stereotypes)

And you think it took ages to Miyamoto to create Link? "The guy who is choosen by the godesses to retablish equity and peace in a corrupted kingdom"...I heard that a thousand of times...-_-

I don't even speak of Mario's "very original" scenarios!

The Legend of Zelda was created back in 1986, where video games were beginning, so it was one of the first action/adventure games with an original story that had been never done in video games back these days. Find your sources. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda_(série) Look at "Influences" and see by yourself that Miyamoto is a very creative developer that found its inspiration throughout his tastes and common life experiences.

Again, the comment on Mario is not even reliable, since we're talking about recent characters created, and not even scenarios.

Oh and, looking for hidden treasures has been already done by Tomb Raider many times...

When you say that the recent games lacked of original characters, i disagree with you. You talk like if nintendo were the only ones able to be original. Just for reminding you, Uncharted 2 has a very proper indentity, even if you look for treasures "Tomb Raider style". The action sequences, the music, the story, the personnality of the characters, when you look at the final result, i'd bet you won't say that this game isn't original at all.

Nathan Hale, Ethan Mars, Scott Shelby, Madison Paige, Norman Jaden, Sam Fisher, Cole (from InFamous), The Characters from Bioshock in general (Fontaine, Big Daddies, Little Sisters, Ryan...), and even if you don't agree: Nathan Drake and Elena

Well i know that your going to say that you saw that everytime and....but...wait...you don't even know what you are talking about dude! The only time you played games that weren't from nintendo's ass it was with me or your dumbass friend (Joe)!. You never played more than an hour on a Playstation or Xbox game excepted Uncharted 2! You can't know a game indentity just by reading news and reading reviews...

To finish...talking of Uncharted 2 your comment on it on your last post...I don't see the link with finding treasures and an original character....As i remember...Link and Mario does too...

E3 2015 Wishlist:

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
Mass Effect 4 (MEH)
Age of Empires IV (PC)
Quantic Dream (PS4)
Mario 3D (Wii U)
Banjo-Kazooie (XOne)

Travis Touchdown was new and original this gen. Only Suda can think of something so nutty but awesome.

I hope its for 3DS and Wii.

This gen is lacking in new and influential game characters (seriously, the only one I can think of is Travis Touchdown but unfortunately he's not quite as widespread as Mario, Link, or Master Chief). Though I do wonder what kind of game Miyamoto would make for this character.

Sam Fisher isn't even from this generation, and I might recall you this generation lacks characters that have impact and will change gaming perceptions, as Snake, Kratos, Link, Samus did for their genre.

Underlined:  I shall warn you not attack me personnaly and use a proper language.

Again, we're not talking about "identity" of a game, but the creation of a very unexpected character that will still live in memories for the next 50 years. As I reckon, to be original, a character must not be built upon stereotypes or being just a random guy. Then again, to become a well-known character and to be the pinnacle of its genre, as Mario do in platforming, he/she has to e in a lot of games and sell really well, or being a top notch game of its genre (AAA).

You don't need to insult or attack personnaly because your opinion is divergent. I don't think (Miyamoto, not Nintendo) is the only one able to create original characters, but you fail to remember his contribution to video gaming (Starfox, Pikmin, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario). Don't even ask me if I understand about what's in italic,  I never said Uncharted 2 was uninspired. I'm just seeking for characters that aren't pale human copies.

I would argue NEKU SHIKI from TWEWY... but then again it lacks impact, . As it only sold 500K so I guess I disproved myself. (And I would apply this to Beyond Good and Evil as Well last gen)

Really, I wouldn't count pikmin. It's a great game but IMO the characters wasn't that memorable. Or for sure less memorable than... Also I would argue starfox, unless a ship can count as a character. In that case then I would agree. But the big one you forgot this gen. SACKBOY!!

Of course, I'm not saying Nintendo is nowhere good this generation in making new inventive characters, as the only thing that ressembles to is a Mii. Pikmin is not enough big in sales or in number of titles to be really an inventive character, Sackboy MIGHT be a contendent for that, but the character lacks (personnality???) Maybe we'll see with LBP2. Again, with Starfox, the franchise isn't big enough to consider the character as memorable as big industry figures.

And don't get me wrong, I love Uncharted 2. But as with all the games created nowadays, they just need to be pushed further in next generation and continue to sell really good and make the character even more memorable.

For Donkey Kong, we'll see if he can still sell like in the DKC days back in 90's.
