Forums - Sales - Xbox 360 Slim Seeing 'Unprecedented Demand,' says Microsoft!

it will be curious to see if next month the 360 can keep up these sales numbers, everytime each console has a pricedrop we see these spikes in sales, but they dont last that long, and sorry MS but this is the first month in a long time that your system has outsold the PS3, liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While it has helped improve 360 sales during the summer down months video game consoles usually experience.  Anyone else here think they should have maybe waited to late fall around the holiday season?  If they were able to build up a lot of stock to meet the demand of their hype they could have perhaps sold even more systems.

Hey, here are the things where your logic is broken:

  1. This is about MAY NPD numbers. There was no price cut in may
  2. Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 almost every month in the us since November 2006. It is like 32 months (Xbox 360) vs 10 months (PS3)
  3. Next month might be a even higher, because there was the price cut
  4. July will probably be even better for the 360 IF they manage to ship enough consoles.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

    playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

this two companies are like kids fighting for who is better and how "well" they doing. i really laugh my ass when microsoft said that Xbox 360 "continues to outsell the PlayStation 3 at retail for the fifth consecutive year and every single month of 2010."

He doesn't mean the console but the brand. Combine consoles, software and accesories...

This is talking about USA because this is in response to NPD sales and stuff. NPD tracks US sales.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

When NPD numbers are quoted, it specifically refers to NA numbers since that is the only region NPD tracks.

So technically, it's not omitting anything, even if it ignores the greater overall picture (global).

    LOL

What!? They are commenting on NPD... of course they are only talking about the US!

They arent pretending anything... they are commenting on the NPD figures like all the console manufacturers do every month.

    Good grief.

There is no such thing as good XBOX news to the users of this site. = P

I'm pretty sick and tired of the "but but but, what about WW!"

This is in response to NPD, what they're saying is perfectly fine aslong as they have the NPD numbers right.

Anyone else disturbed of the series labeling that some companies have started doing?  Why did Sony just name it Twisted Metal? DId they just start the series from scratch again?  Don't get me wrong I used to love Twisted Metal 1,2, and kind of 3.  To just name it the original title is bullshit.  Shows lazyness in title naming and almost suggests to people that it is an orginal game (which most know it isn't but still...).

How about New Twisted Metal? Would that be original enough for you??
