My friend's launch 60gb just died about a month ago so I know your pain. Seems like everyone I know that had a launch PS3 has had it die outside of warranty now

I'm pretty sure you could sell it for that much lol, It's probably going to be a 80GB like I have. You can always tape your PS2 to your PS3, cosidering it isn't the original fat brick like I had....

Sorry to hear that....It happened to me last month. My 60GB PS3 died during LP2. I got it fixed locally within one hour and they didnt format my hdd. Now it works like new as they made a few upgrades. I hope you will not lose your game saves and other data!
