I kind of get the feeling that Miyamoto wants to get Pikmin 3 out for he can stop making Pikmin since he said it was a trilogy. I honestly get the feeling that Pikmin was never supposed to be a new franchise that lasts a long time like other Nintendo games. I think this new franchise could be replacing Pikmin...I don't want that though just read my sig...

New character should be a Viking (akin to Lost Vikings) that rapes and pillages the churches of Sony and Microsoft.  Mainly pillages to make it more Nintendo friendly.

damn undead will scare the shit out of me when i leave the church.   had to be most scared was in entire life when first met those undead under the graveyard and after becoming big.  I remember being so excited getting to see how the town changed when big, and come running out and like OMG scary

But hmm a swimming, I really hope its something like kid icarus yet underwater.  You know some sweet mermaid adventure.  Like when i think of the 3 areas, water, land and air.  I think air kid icarus, land link, and we need some water hero.

@irsstupid how about they transform into Echo the Dolphin when in water?  Or how about a turtle with bomb defusing stage aka Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)...  Ahhh!!!! That level still gives me nightmares....

Sorry I can't find it again now but back in 2001 0r 2002 I remember Miyamoto saying that it could be a Trilogy... that doesn't mean only 3 games that just means 3 with Olimar.

I certainly hope and believe Pikmin will be a long lasting IP. I love it.

hoping for a new IP from Nintendo, would be sweet, love all the retro stuff but its been a while.

We could do a brainstorming  of the whole VGC to create as many characters as possible, then, if Nintendo's new character happens to be too much similar to one of ours, we can ask for royalties.
