So $3 for an extra character. I honestly hope they are thinking of taking on WoW with such a ridiculous rule.

I got a HD Radeon 5850 with 1GB VRAM. More than enough for the game.

yeah, that card is more than capable, my 5870 eye6 smokes you though =P. 5600 vs 6300 some =P. did you overclock the core at least?

Sadly I don't even know how lol.

You can do safe OC' in the CCC, it's on the bottom of the drag down list, click on the key, it's usually safe to max the core, memory is a little more tricky but I've heard good things about 5850s on that regard. I'd say do automatic and see how high it sets your memory, then max out the core on the slider.

Just like XI. XIV is designed for you to only NEED 1 character. You aren't limited to 1 specific class like other MMOs.

Most people in XI who wanted another character was so that it could hold their items. A mule.

If you are one of those people, then fear not. Just like XI. You will have retainer NPC characters who will do that same job, and only for an extra 1$

So unless you REALLY need a new character, there is no point in getting another.

I am well aware how all this works. However many people roll an extra character in WoW just to have another toon, not for a mule or for the new class skills. In the end this is a very retarded movie and I hope they don't expect to come anywhere close to WoW because it probably won't sell even 1/5th as well.

1/5th? you are giving this game wayyyyy to much credit, it'd be lucky to have 1/15th and awesome if it's 1/10th.

It could reach everal million with the PS3, but I highly doubt many people will buy it form the PC. Especially when there is not only WoW but The Old Republic coming out soon-ish.

it was never that high even when the PS2 was in regin and with a PC version out at the same time, at max they maybe had 300k people on at once and that's it. 360 version also came much later. Having 2 million active characters doesn't even mean anything. It'd be lucky to have a fraction of WoW numbers a few years in.
