Just like XI. XIV is designed for you to only NEED 1 character. You aren't limited to 1 specific class like other MMOs.

Most people in XI who wanted another character was so that it could hold their items. A mule.

If you are one of those people, then fear not. Just like XI. You will have retainer NPC characters who will do that same job, and only for an extra 1$

So unless you REALLY need a new character, there is no point in getting another.

I am well aware how all this works. However many people roll an extra character in WoW just to have another toon, not for a mule or for the new class skills. In the end this is a very retarded movie and I hope they don't expect to come anywhere close to WoW because it probably won't sell even 1/5th as well.
