can always ebay it out if you really want a slim, though tbh if the 60gb works fine, just throw a new HDD in there should solve the problem.

I intend to keep my current PS3, even if it breaks*. Yeah the Slim might be smaller, not have the touch buttons that I dislike and not attract fingerprints or smudges, but I like having B/C.
*If my PS3 did break Sony would have to give me back a 60GB B/C PS3 right?
|
SONY wouldn't give you back your 60GB B/C back as the B/C components aren't made now
|
You sure they can send me back something other than what I purchased? What's to say the B/C parts were the problem in my PS3.
If my BD drive dies I wouldn't understand why I couldn't get my 60GB back instead of an inferior Slim model which wasn't what I had when I sent it in.

most likely they keep your system and send you a refurbished repaired console that came in for repair for somebody else
you could also get a refurbished SLIM
its another thing,if only your BD drive is bad and you tell them to take as much time but give you back the 60gb one only bt their are many communication problems
or get it done from a local shop where you will retain the 60gb unit
