Forums - Sony Discussion - White Knight Chronicles set for PSP.SE's Monster Hunter clone and new stuff

I wasn't expecting a new Square Enix game for PSP, it is a great surprise.

I am glad that WKC2 has gotten good scores since the original looked really cool despite coming out a disappointment.  I am worried about the lack of mention of the game's story though.  It is good or is it the same cliched narrative as the last WKC.

I honestly think Sony and Level 5 shouldn't spend more resources on this franchise, they have better ones.

Evidently, Level-5 isn't... the Famitsu article says they're not directly involved with the PSP game at all, and they're only credited with creating the WKC IP.   Sony's doing it inhouse it seems. :/

Wheres your proof? I actually hope thats true, LV5  hasnt been in top condition with this series so it might be better if SONY does it or lets somebody else handle it. WKC is top of the list for biggest letdown.

It makes sense though, Level-5 is stretched pretty thin already.  Sony may not actually be doing development inhouse either, they could still be working with an outside team, but it's probably not Level-5 looking at the Famitsu article.

If they took WKC and turned it into a MH clone... I would feint.

WKC2 got 8/8/9/8 while the first got like 7/7/6/7.   That's a damn good increase.  From a 6.xx game to an 8.xx game.

I am really glad they fixed the flaws from the first game. I am hyped.
