Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 'Really Wanted' Saints Row on 3DS, reveals THQ

This sounds cool in all, but, I want the 3DS for Resident Evil, Street Fighter 4 and Metal Gear Solid.

Well I doubt Nintendo begged them they probubly just brought up the idea and said it would be interesting. Chances are Saints Row 3DS will sell way better then the Live version and THQ knows it so they decided to port it over and turn a big profit. Though I do think Nintendo is probubly giving an open invitation to all the mature games developers offering the 3DS as their next platform to launch software on!

begged is probably not the right word.  i'd go with something like nintendo lobbied for saints row.

am i the only one who would like Saints Row 3DS to be simillar to classic GTA games. give me Saints Row with all its craziness, isometric view, lots of unlockables and i'm good with that.

After Chinatown Wars flopped on DS, then flopped harder on PSP, I doubt this will happen.  Drive By will undoubtedly be 3rd person/over-the-shoulder cam.

Also, Saints Row 3 for Wii HD launch in fall 2011?

Why do I get the feeling the 3DS version will cost at least twice that of the XBLA version.

With less content, too.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Third parties never fail to disappoint, do they?

This is one of Sonys most lasting contributions to gaming: Pegging Nintendo as a kiddy system. They've been fighting the stigma ever since.  Sony's done many good things, mostly in the software department, but that kiddy thing stuck hard.

Uh... I think you've misspelled "Sega". ;)

Sega did that

Sega did that

Sega, Sony, Microsoft and "journalists" who are nothing of the sort did it collectively.

Has Microsoft done much to that effect? They've largely ignored Nintendo in their run so far, unlike Sony and Sega who have focused their attention there. Really everyone ignored Nintendo through the GameCube era, and its more been Sony speaking against Nintendo this generation than Microsoft (though they've gotten a few jibes of their own)
