I don't think a lot of people are going to care so much about Diablo 3 if WoW is still around (and if FFXI is any indication, it will be).

Epic Games is fiercely independent, there's no way they'd allow themselves to be bought by anyone.

Well jeeze she must be some kind of psychic.  Surely she didn't just guess Syphon Filter would be made on the PS3 because of Syphon Filter being one of the most milked franchises in existence.

Being right about some stuff does not make her right about everything. She makes a lot of really easy predictions, and a couple that require knowing one or two insiders and you treat everything she says as gospel. The Diablo 3 comment has sunk a lot of her credibility in my opinion. It was never announced or confirmed in production, but she knows when it was supposed to be released? And the assertion of a new date is pretty funny as well. I don't doubt that the game is in the works, but any leak would be plugged quickly by Blizzard. They kept development of Starcraft 2 under wraps for around 2 years. They are also notorious for not giving a release date past "when it is done."

And as Naznatips pointed out, this was something Vivendi did. That is a shocking mistake that again hurts her cerdibilit. I have long suspected that she knows a handful of people, in a handful of companies and makes predictions on those she knows will be right to make it seem like she knows what she is talking about other times.

Blizzard has only tired franchises?! How many starcraft, warcraft and diablo games combined have been released in the last 10 years? Only 4 games have.

She said something about a multiplatform Warcraft game to capitalize on the Warcraft movie in 2009.... does she mean on the fact that it's for PC/MAC, or is she implying it will be released to consoles too? First, it's too soon for Blizzard to make another Warcraft game because the last 2 games were from Warcraft series! Second, a Warcraft strategy game in the consoles would not be made by Blizzard since Blizzard does NOT make ports to consoles. Third, Blizzard likes to have control over their games, and I doubt they would outsource a strategy game porting to another company, who would have trouble to optimize the game since Blizzard makes their games first and foremost with the PC in mind.

Again, why criticizing Blizzard for being inefficient? doesnt make sense, Blizzard are the most profitable game developers in the world (excluding Ninty). Blizzard itself makes more money than Bungie, Take-two and etc combined. IS surfer girl pissed because they only make AAA titles?! Does she want them to whore out their IP's?

I doubt Blizzard has any time thinking about new IP's. They have 3 teams, one is working on the Lich King expansion, another is working on Starcraft 2, and the third is working on an unnanounced game, which might be Diablo 3. And yes, Diablo 3 is in a genre that is easier to port to consoles, but Blizzard will still make the game thinking for PC, which means the port will be extremely hard to make since it would have to be VERY different to work well on consoles. And also, Blizzard would probably outsource the port, if it ever happened

Actually, they do port to consoles. Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft 2 were all put on consoles. They also aquired a studio that did just console development. They do have a surprisingly strong hold over their own IPs though. Mostly because Vivendi Universal Games is in the black almost solely because of the beast of a game that is WoW.

What I find most suspect is the claim that they will release console games at the same time as the movie. This would be the most unrealistic goal ever for Blizzard. They take forever to make a game. When it is done it tends to be fantastic, or they will scrap it while it is being developed for not being up to snuff. I can't wait for 2009 to come and have no sign of an accopanying game. Of course by then Surfer Girl will be long forgotten or disappear due to her absurd prediction about the next Nintendo handheld.

Any credibility Surfer Girl had just dissappeared when she criticized Blizzard. I would typically do a point by point rebuttal of each of her inane criticisms, but I just don't have it in me. One thing; naznatips hit the nail on the head when he dismissed her prediction of a new Syphon Filter. What's she going to "heads-up" us about next, a new Megaman Battlenetwork (Starforce, whatever) Game next year for the DS?
