Lets just hope netflix doesn't get greedy as the other movie rental businesses fail. I'm surprised netflix hasnt moved into the video game business as redbox has.

Yea, adding video games would be nice but the price plans for those options would be higher (of course).  If they could undercut gamefly with having 1 video game disc out at a time while having ability to instant stream and 1 dvd disc out at a time it would be game over for gamefly.

Yea, that would be good. I bet they wouldnt even have to up the price too far because offering one movie, one game, and instant streaming for $12.95 or something would result in so many NEW customers coming from gamefly since its $15.95 over there.

Yea, Netflix may do something like that in future, but they would have to buy a lot of video game software first.  Maybe after they build up some capital they can venture into that and steal gamefly's customer base.

Anyways, right now for Wii instant stream (and probably all instant streaming) there is no closed caption option and turning it on through your tv won't work either with the instant stream (at least not my tv).  They should put closed caption in English at least.  My roomate knows English decently but she has a hard time sometimes with some shows at understanding everything.  It doesn't stop her from watching instant stream but she doesn't understand everything that is going on in movie/tv show.

Yeah, Instant Streaming is great.  When I first got Netflix I had the 3 disc out a time plan and never used Instant Streaming becaues it wasn't on a console yet but now I mainly just watch TV shows and switched to one disc at a time.

My only problem is that it's been failing on my 360.  My quality constantly fluctuates from one bar to full HD and I have no clue why (tried with nothing else connected to the internet and even different cables) while I can stream shows on my PS3 through Netflix while simultaneously streaming HD to my computer through Netflix and both are fine.

same here, the streaming is wonderful!

Thats a very good point. My parents are deaf so they can not enjoy the instant streaming.

^Ah that blows about parents not being able to enjoy isntant streaming.  I will call up Netflix today and try and get customer support to note this idea.  Not sure if they would have to go back and redo all the instant streams just to get the closed caption option on there or what.  If they put the movie up it should have closed caption embedded into the movie you would think (since all movies released have closed caption option).  Not too sure but I'll petition to try and get this available through Netflix.  It can only help them gain more customers.  It also wouldn't take up too much space on their servers considering closed caption doesn't take up that much space at all on disc (usually 3-10 mb at most, not too certain but I am pretty sure).

- Just spoke with Netflix customer support person.  Said they are implementing it slowly right now.  He said all the Lost season right now have CC option for instant stream.  I'll check that out later to make sure it is.  Asked if they will have CC logo to show users that is available for that show or movie and he said right now they don't have that since very few have CC option (thinking just Lost seasons have it now).  I got into Lost a long time ago (mainly due to ex) but then got out of it around season 4 or 5.  Not too sure if your parents care for that tv series.  Anyways, it looks like they are getting the ball moving with CC through instant streaming.  Perhaps your parents will be able to enjoy instant streaming more in the future.
