Forums - General - I love Netflix

I mainly love Netflix for instant streaming.  Sure they don't have everything available for instant stream but they are adding new stuff all the time.  I only have the Wii so there isn't any HD option available but it is totally fine by me.  With instant stream available on all home console along with other devices this is perfect time for anyone who hasn't tried it to try it out...  I don't want to sound like walking advertisement (even though I totally am sounding like one) but the number one reason why I love Netflix is because I hate commercials (and there are none with instant stream).  My head wants to explode whenever commercials come on.  I refuse to pay for cable.  Cable is stupid because they should have a la carte option but they don't cause 3/4 of the channels would go out of business.  Anyways, if you haven't tried Netflix you should try it out.  First month is free then it is no more than 10 after tax each month with single disc out option.

Netflix has a whole lot of TV series collections you can watch.  So far I've watched Dexter season 1, 2, 3; Sarah silverman show season 1,2, Strangers with Candy season 1,2,3, My name is Earl season 1-4, some south park, and some super mario bros show.

I would get netflix,but I don't want to pay with a debit/credit card. I'm a big movie lover.

Yeah, Instant Streaming is great.  When I first got Netflix I had the 3 disc out a time plan and never used Instant Streaming becaues it wasn't on a console yet but now I mainly just watch TV shows and switched to one disc at a time.

My only problem is that it's been failing on my 360.  My quality constantly fluctuates from one bar to full HD and I have no clue why (tried with nothing else connected to the internet and even different cables) while I can stream shows on my PS3 through Netflix while simultaneously streaming HD to my computer through Netflix and both are fine.

Seriously, Netflix and Redbox do it right.  Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc all deserve to go out of business for constantly raising rental prices over the years and not coming out with their own Netflix type competition.

no blockbuster has something simiar to netflix. Blockbuster is also putting out some redbox type thing. I saw the machine somewhere, but never actually went up to it. Hollywood video is just screwed as the don't seem to have the revenue to compete. lol

I know Blockbuster has a disc based system like Netflix but I do not believe they have instant streaming and instant streaming on consoles, which is what really makes Netflix outshine all the other services.

Lets just hope netflix doesn't get greedy as the other movie rental businesses fail. I'm surprised netflix hasnt moved into the video game business as redbox has.

You are right they don't have instant stream for consoles but I am pretty sure they do for certain blue ray players.  Also, sucks about your 360 not working right with Netflix.  Not sure who you should contact about that (perhaps Netflix first then maybe Microsoft).
