yeah...are we crazy? the ps3 sold 500k its first week if i'm not wrong...

in america the week the big retailers break the launch date, the ps3 sold 100k....the europe week, it sold 250k! and in japan it sold 150k! if america should be the biggest peak for the 360, Selnor, you can't expect it to outsell the Slim launch..... let's not forget that the day the PS3Slim launched, the 360 had a elite price cut, a arcade price cut in europe and several bundles...

582,815 to be exact.  Like I said in a previous post, I think 360 Slim launch will end up being ~ 200K.

I don't know about 120K in EU.  The PS3 has been out selling it by ~  20K a week in that region for a while.  And with the announcement of GT5 release date, I think more people will be looking forward to that (Prologue sold more than 1 mil units in just 6 weeks in EU).  I expect maybe an increase to 60K-80K.  I definitely don't see the 360 passing PS3 in Japan.  I mean even with price-cuts, it failed to reach 2K this week.  My guess would be MAX 10K.

i think you need his first reply to this question, some stores leaked thus it being the first week 164 being the second week. The PS3 wouldnt have jumped from 37k to 105k without new slims being sold, too much of a coincidence

Not every store broke the street date.  Only a few local Gamestops and Best Buys.  Larger retail chains like Wal-mart and Target kept the date.  If all stores had released it, then I would agree with you, but that wasn't the case.  And the jump to 105K that week was mostly due to the old models getting a $100 price-cut.  So it still stands that 164k is still the real first week for the Slim.  When EVERY store launched it, not just a select few.

Oh look how convienient only using american sales, if we used american sales all year we could all argue that x360 has been still outselling ps3 since it's release

now try posting world wide sales, and the x360s release no longer looks so great, even if it released in eu at the same time it would have only gotten an extra 100k at the most, japan would not really get much of a boost, maybe another 10k if they are lucky, but guess what the x360s is still cheaper than the ps3 slim was so yeah of course it's going to sell well at $199
